Our organic currants are full of taste! They are smaller, more sour than raisins and are perfect for baking or cooking. Currants and raisins are both dried grapes, but originate from other species. These currants, made of Corinthiaka grapes, are named after the Greek town Korinthe. Dried currants are rich of fibers, which is important for a healthy digestion. Besides that, currants contain relatively much potash, fosfor and other essential minerals that are necessary to ensure the good functioning of the human body.
